Stephen R. Strain has been appointed vice president, human resources, for Western Digital Corp., an Irvine-based computer products company. He succeeds Robert N. Stephens, who was named vice president and general manager of Western Digital’s communications and sub-systems products business unit. Before joining Western Digital, Strain was vice president of human resources for Seagate Technology, director of human resources for Advanced Micro Devices and has held various human resource management positions with Hewlett Packard.
