Britain Bars Broadcast of Ulster Militant Views

LONDON —
The government today banned broadcast interviews with members of the outlawed Irish Republican Army; its legal political wing, Sinn Fein, and Northern Ireland’s militant Protestant groups.
Home Secretary Douglas Hurd announced the immediate ban in the House of Commons and said the Conservative government intends to deny terrorists publicity.
