Wavetek Corp., a manufacturer of test and measurement instruments, expects to post a loss of $2.3 million on sales of $20 million for the fourth quarter ended Oct. 1, against a profit of $1.3 million on sales of $23.9 million over the same quarter a year ago.

For the full year, Wavetek expects a loss of $7.6 million on sales of $83.9 million, versus a profit of $3.85 million on sales of $82.5 million in fiscal 1987.

The losses are attributable in part to restructuring costs and “physical inventory adjustment,” the company said in a prepared statement.
