Intermark on Friday reported a $590,000 net loss for the second quarter ended Sept. 30. Intermark blamed the loss on an increase in the company’s effective income-tax rate.

The company reported a $756,000 net loss during the same quarter a year earlier. Revenue for the second quarter rose by 21%, to $181 million, up from $149 million during the like quarter the year before.

Intermark reported a $214,000 profit for the six-month period ended Sept. 30. It reported a $5.4 million loss for the year-ago period. Revenue rose by 19%, to $376 million, for the six-month period, up from $316 million the year before.
