Opinion Polls and Elections
I’m convinced all this poll taking, particularly in the last weeks before the election, is doing a disservice to the country.
In the ’84 election there was a complaint, among California voters especially, about exit polls which predicted the outcome before the polls closed.
This election the winner is announced three weeks before. Is it any wonder people stay home? Let’s not have any great lament from the media and other pundits about the low voter turnout.
