Opinion Polls and Elections
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Carol Tavris, for expressing my feelings so exactly. I am so tired of instant polls, overnight polls, polls of all kinds. If anyone in the news media, pollsters, etc. came up to me and asked me who I would vote for, etc., I would lie through my teeth. I hope everyone out there would do the same. I believe my rights as an American citizen are being violated.
I don’t care what other people think, I can come to my own conclusions after studying the candidates and what they espouse. Our secret ballot is one of the most important aspects of our democracy. I don’t want to see it eroded. It is imperative to think for ourselves and then to act in what we believe is in the best interests of our country. Polls should not enter our considerations.
