Procter & Gamble’s first-quarter profit increased 12% to $4 million. Revenue totaled $5.3 billion, a 13% gain. The Cincinnati company attributed the revenue increase primarily to greater unit volume. P & G’s product lines include household cleaning and personal-care items, and food and beverages.
