Hoping to help his Vice President succeed him in the White House, President Reagan will campaign for Republican presidential candidate George Bush in San Diego Thursday, the White House has announced.

Reagan, who will be in San Diego for less than two hours, will speak at a late afternoon rally at the Sports Arena after earlier campaign appearances on Bush’s behalf in Arkansas and Missouri.

Free tickets to the rally, which also will feature musical entertainment and celebrities, are available at the Republicans’ Victory ’88 headquarters, 610 West Ash St., downtown, GOP officials said.

Immediately after his speech, Reagan will fly to Los Angeles to attend a rally with Bush.
