A 2-year-old San Diego boy was killed Friday when he ran into an alley and was struck by a truck, a police spokesman said.
Hector Ramirez Cruz of the 3800 block of North 37th Street was playing with his father when he ran into an alley behind his house and was run over by a northbound truck, the spokesman said.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:24 p.m., a deputy coroner said.
