Imelda Marcos, the wife of deposed Philippine President Ferdinand E. Marcos, will fly to New York City in a private jet this weekend and plans to stay at the Waldorf or another exclusive hotel for a court appearance on Monday, aides said.

A federal judge in New York on Thursday, citing Ferdinand Marcos’ poor health, delayed indefinitely his arraignment on racketeering charges, including one of embezzling more than $100 million from the Philippine treasury to buy New York buildings. But the judge ruled that Imelda Marcos should still be arraigned on Monday on similar charges.

Aides said that she will travel in an 18-seat private Boeing jet being loaned to her by tobacco heiress Doris Duke.
