Days of Happiness

I so enjoyed Georgia I. Hesse’s article “A Century of the Cote d’Azur” (Oct. 9). She has a way of writing that is very pleasurable to read. Exploring the outdoor views and charming villages by car is pure contentment and excitement.
So many people make driving a chore, wanting only to arrive and roost at their destination, that they never get past a three-block circumference. However, Hesse relived the pleasure of some of the happiest days of my life. Just being there was a delight.
