A well-known South African TV actor and a radio producer have been arrested and charged in Johannesburg in connection with a child-sex ring, police said Sunday. Don Lamprecht, a leading Afrikaans-speaking actor and star of a popular TV series, and Tinus Esterhuizen, program manager for the South African Broadcast Assn.’s overnight radio show, were charged with indecent assault and possession of pornographic material. The men were arrested in Johannesburg on Saturday and were released on bail pending a court appearance Monday. The Sunday Times, a national newspaper, said the arrests of up to a dozen other prominent figures in the entertainment world were expected.
