Amwest Insurance Group Reports Record Profit

Amwest Insurance Group reported record results for the third quarter that ended Sept. 30. Net income increased 40% to $1.1 million, or 43 cents a share, compared to $768,000, or 38 cents a share, in the same period a year earlier. Revenue was up 8% to $6.1 million from $5.7 million.
The company attributed its improved results to an expansion program.
For the nine months that ended Sept. 30, the Woodland Hills firm’s net income was $2.7 million, or $1.23 a share. Revenue increased 7% to $16.4 million from $15.4 million.
