Teamsters Union Endorses Bush

Thank you for initiating my day with a smile, as The Times informed me on Oct. 18 that “Teamsters Endorse Bush” (Part I).

“The union is the only major one in the country to endorse the Republican candidate, just as it was when it endorsed Ronald Reagan in 1980 and 1984,” the article stated.

And on Oct. 20, The Times added:

“Under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act, the Justice Department contends that the Teamsters Union is heavily influenced by organized crime and is no longer responsibly serving the interests of its membership.”

With friends like these, who needs enemies? So let us join the prayers of the senator from Indiana:

“ E Pluribus Unum and God Bless America.”
