A fight between factions of the Mexican Workers Congress labor federation left two people dead, 18 injured and a union headquarters in flames, news reports said Tuesday.
Hundreds of workers battled it out near the Acapulco Plaza Hotel in this resort city, reports said, and more than 20 people were arrested.
The fight between members of the local Hotel, Restaurant and Bar Workers Union and its parent organization, the Mexican Workers Congress, or CTM, began when the CTM tried to oust the head of the local.
