Investment LP said it has reduced its stake in American Medical International to 2.4% from about 7.3% of the outstanding common shares. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Ft. Worth-based partnership said it sold 3,727,570 shares Nov. 4 at $17.42 each. It had previously sold 2,000 shares of AMI on Oct. 20 for $17.57 each. The group now holds 1,656,839 shares. Investment LP, led by Richard Rainwater, gave no reason for the sales. The partnership still owns the third-largest stake in the Beverly Hills hospital chain.
