Linnet F. Deily, an executive vice president at First Interstate Bank of California in Los Angeles, has been chosen as president and chief operating officer of First Interstate Bank of Texas.
The 43-year-old native of McKinney, Tex., and graduate of the University of Texas will take over operations of the state’s fourth-largest bank. First Interstate of Texas has 58 branches statewide, four non-bank subsidiaries and $8 billion in assets. First Interstate Bancorp of Los Angeles acquired the Texas bank, formerly called Allied Bank, earlier this year.
Deily was a senior vice president at Republic Bank of Dallas when she joined First Interstate Bancorp in 1981. She established a corporate banking program and was chief financial officer of the company’s merchant bank.
Most recently, Deily was responsible for 53 branches and four corporate banking centers in the Los Angeles area for First Interstate of California.
