AF Secretary Resigns

WASHINGTON — Air Force Secretary Edward C. Aldridge, 50, has submitted his resignation to the White House effective Dec. 16 to head a new unit of the McDonnell Douglas Corp., the Pentagon announced Wednesday. Air Force Undersecretary James McGovern will serve as acting secretary, Pentagon officials said.
