Median prices for existing homes across the country ranged from a high of $226,225 in Orange County to $55,000 in Des Moines, Iowa, during the third quarter of this year, the National Assn. of Realtors said. Orange County was followed by metropolitan Honolulu at $226,000 and the San Francisco Bay Area at $213,700, the association’s survey of 62 metropolitan areas showed.
