Marine’s Tragedy

Your story about Marine Staff Sgt. John D. McKeel Jr. is truly disturbing (“Ex-Hostage Says Marine Corps Is Discharging Him,” Oct. 11). It’s a shame that the Marine Corps would discharge this 16-year veteran who has undergone such tragedy.

They claim that he has a 10% disability and so they must get rid of him. Does this mean that every other Marine on active duty has a better than 90% rating? That’s hard to believe.
