Science / Medicine : Stop-Smoking Pill Patented

A new pill that combats nicotine withdrawal symptoms suffered by those giving up smoking has been patented in Hungary, the official MTI news agency said last week.
The agency said the pill, called “Nonikot,” uses herbal extracts to ease stomach disorders or increased appetite associated with nicotine withdrawal.
The drug is produced by Energ-Innov, a small cooperative at Torockbalint just outside Budapest.
