On a chilly, windy Ohio day, Mark Plaatjes, a South African native training in Boulder, Colo., won the Columbus Marathon in 2:12:17. Plaatjes finished third in the L.A. Marathon last March. Julie Isphording of Cincinnati won the women’s race in 2:31:09.
