Lakers Get Another Shot at High-Scoring Nuggets Tonight
The Lakers, who breezed, 128-110, over the Denver Nuggets at the Forum last Wednesday, tonight are liable to find rougher going here, where the Nuggets beat the Lakers twice last season and already have exceeded 140 points in 3 games this season.
Denver defeated the Lakers’ chief rivals in the Pacific Division--Seattle and Portland--over the weekend. The Nuggets beat the SuperSonics, 141-129, Saturday and downed the Trail Blazers, 143-132, Sunday.
The Lakers (4-1) had their highest-scoring game of the season against the Nuggets. They shot 60.5% and outscored Denver, 32-18, in the fourth quarter. Byron Scott had 33 points.
