Actor Jeff Bridges will become the youngest star ever to be honored by the London National Film Theatre when an 18-film, three-week tribute takes place following the London Film Festival. Beginning Dec. 3, the tribute will coincide with the U.K. release of Francis Ford Coppola’s film “Tucker,” which stars Bridges. Films slated to be shown include: Peter Bogdanovich’s “The Last Picture Show,” Bob Rafelson’s “Stay Hungry,” the rarely screened American Film Theatre movie version of “The Iceman Cometh,” and the full-length version of Michael Cimino’s “Heaven’s Gate.” But Bridges, 39, won’t be able to make an appearance at the festival as he is committed to shooting his new film, “The Fabulous Baker Boys,” with brother Beau Bridges and Michele Pfeiffer. Bridges plays one-half of a piano-playing lounge lizard act, with his brother.
