Local News in Brief : Irvine : Sakharov Associate to Speak at UC Irvine

Nina Belyaeva, a research fellow of the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences in the Soviet Union, will speak at noon today on “The Changing Legal Basis of Political and Non-Governmental Activity in the U.S.S.R.” at UC Irvine’s University Club.
Belyaeva is an associate of Soviet dissident and human rights activist Andrei D. Sakharov.
