Organ Recipient Awake

PITTSBURGH, Pa. —
A 3-year-old girl who underwent a five-organ transplant was awake and being weaned off a respirator Wednesday, officials at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh said. Rolandrea Dodge of Fruitland, N.M., remained in critical condition after receiving a new liver, pancreas, stomach, small intestine and part of a large intestine during surgery that ended Tuesday.
