The Wrong Technique

Regarding Jonathan Kirsch’s review of “Stolen Moments” (“The Eclectic World of Tom Schnabel,” Nov. 24), Tom Schnabel’s interviewing technique, which consists of asking a question, answering it himself and checking to see if the interviewee agrees--and his apparent conviction that all music is of exactly equal value--make descriptions such as well-informed and genius inappropriate.
