Lethal Weapon 2 (Silver). Shooting in L.A. Richard Donner directs wacko cop/title character Mel Gibson and cautious partner Danny Glover in this sequel set three years later. The two (now fiercely loyal to one another while still retaining their endearing little differences) must deal with the task of protecting/babysitting an accountant who is a federal witness. Brian Dennehy stars as tough undercover cop whose team of suspended police detectives cross the legal line on behalf of the U.S. when a local case appears to contain international political overtones.
