Memo to Mark Weinberg (producer-apparent of “Crime Time”): Have we checked to see if the TV rights to the newly revised California executions are tied up? Just imagine the fun we could have with that!

I’m picturing a segment called “Famous Last Words” where the audience calls in and votes on which condemned man displays the keenest wit each week. What a blast! (Don’t let Aaron hear about this. . . .)

And the San Quentin Quintet could be the house band, and (do I dare dream?) we can try to get R. Reagan to host. I hear he doesn’t have anything else in development yet.
