“Oliver!”--the 1968 best picture Oscar winner--celebrates its 20th anniversary Dec. 13 with an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Academy Foundation screening and panel discussion. Oliver Reed and Shani Wells are among the actors and artists in the Carol Reed-directed film expected to attend. Academy President Richard Kahn, who will serve as host and moderator of “Film Classics Revisited: The Making of Oliver!,” said, “With this anniversary salute, we hope to recapture the spirit of celebration that accompanied ‘Oliver!’ on its opening.”
