Chris Wallace, chief White House reporter for NBC News, said Tuesday he is leaving the network to join rival ABC. An ABC News spokeswoman said Wallace will probably make the move in January and start work on a new, as-yet untitled prime-time magazine show that ABC is developing. The Washington-based Wallace, son of “60 Minutes” correspondent Mike Wallace, joined NBC in 1975.
