Dense-Pac Microsystems Inc., Garden Grove, reported a net profit of $320,095 for its third quarter ended Nov. 26. The defense electronics company posted net income of $457,619 for the same period last year, including a gain of $462,000 from the sale of assets and technology. Sales in the recent quarter rose 31% to $1.9 million from $1.4 million. For the 9-month period, net income totaled $671,047, which includes a preliminary business interruption insurance claim of $200,000 arising from a fire in the second quarter. Net income for the comparable period a year ago was $483,509. Sales rose 19% to $5.2 million from $4.4 million. James Turner, chairman and chief executive, said the third quarter represents the highest quarterly sales and earnings from operations in the company’s history.
