San Pedro Child Molester Gets 44-Year Prison Term

A 26-year-old dance instructor from San Pedro has been sentenced to 44 years in state prison for molesting three children at his Mesa Street home.
Eddie James Jones, former operator of the defunct Camelot Dance Studio, received the sentence Friday from Long Beach Superior Court Judge Eugene J. Long.
A jury in August convicted Jones of eight counts of molestation involving two boys, aged 7 and 10, and a 7-year-old girl. Jones taught children how to break dance at the school, but Deputy Dist. Atty. Chris Gozney declined to say if the victims were former pupils.
Jones will be eligible for parole in about 22 years.
