Don’t drink and drive, say members of the groups Jan & Dean, Heart, Quiet Riot, White Lion, Toto and (guitarist Ace) Frehley’s Comet, as well as Paula Abdul, Jon Butcher, Barbie Benton and Jeff (Skunk) Baxter, who on Thursday recorded audio and video spots to kick of the 1988 holiday campaign of Recording Artists Against Drunk Driving. Other artists joining this year’s RADD (formerly Rockers Against Drunk Driving) campaign to dissuade holiday revelers from driving drunk include Eddie Money, Phil Collins, Randy Newman, Ray Davies, Joe Satriani, Peter Cetera, George Thorogood, John Hiatt, Michael Bolton, Whitesnake’s David Coverdale, and Deep Purple’s Roger Glover and Ian Gillan, as well as members of the groups R.E.M., Moody Blues, Kansas, Kingdom Come, Blue Oyster Cult, Def Leppard and the Alarm.
