Slumping Lazers Play Tacoma Tonight

The Lazers, losers of 4 straight games and in fifth place in the Major Indoor Soccer League, will hit the road for 4 games beginning tonight against the Tacoma Stars at the Tacoma Dome.

The Lazers won 3 of their first 4 games and led the league in defense in that span with a 2.42 goals-against average.

Since then, however, they have been outscored, 26-16. Their goals-against average has ballooned to 4.60, sixth in the 7-team league.

Tacoma (4-5), coming off a 5-4 loss to the Kansas City Comets last Saturday, has split 2 games with the Lazers this season, winning in 2 overtime periods, 5-4, in their last meeting Nov. 23.
