Arafat’s Address to the United Nations

I used to be a good Democrat. I used to support Hart. I thought he would make a fine President. I was completely disillusioned by his column.
He takes on Shultz, a man for whom I have had tremendous admiration even before he become secretary of state. I thought it was a cockeyed idea for Hart to postulate that it would be a wonderful thing for a terrorist without a country to be generous to a people with a country.
Thank goodness his thinking did not prevail in the long road leading to the selection of a President of the United States.
