Local News in Brief : Garden Grove : Free Dinner to Be Served at Church on Christmas
A free Christmas dinner will be served from 2 to 5 p.m. Christmas Day at Garden Grove United Methodist Church, 12741 Main St.
Free tickets for the dinner are available at Traveler’s Aid, 9872 Chapman Ave., No. 8; Living Spring Christian Fellowship, 9351 Bixby Ave., or the Garden Grove United Methodist Church.
Volunteers are needed to work in 2-hour shifts Christmas Day beginning at 10 a.m., and donations of money or canned food are welcome. To volunteer, call Harv Eckhardt at First Baptist Church at (714) 534-1742, or Genevieve Dallke at the Methodist church, (714) 534-1070.
The dinner is sponsored by REAL HELP, a coalition of churches, agencies and volunteers.
