TUNIS, Tunisia — Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi, in a speech to the Tunisian Parliament, urged the government Friday to break with colonialism and join Libya in its fight against imperialism.
“We must tear up the Bardo Treaty (signed by France and Tunis in 1881), and we must act fast to link the interests of our two countries,” said Kadafi, on the second day of a three-day visit. “American aid is no use and neither France nor America nor Europe must deceive you.”
