Bangladesh Aide Quits

DHAKA, Bangladesh —
Humayun Rashid Chowdhury, president of the U.N. General Assembly in 1987, resigned Saturday as foreign minister of Bangladesh.
A presidential aide said Chowdhury, 64, foreign minister for five years, resigned on health grounds. Other officials linked the resignation to press reports that he had imported some banned goods under diplomatic cover.
