A Massachusetts treasure hunter is the rightful owner of a sunken pirate ship off Cape Cod that could contain $40 million worth of gold, silver and jewels, the state’s highest court ruled in Boston. The court rejected the state’s contention that it had jurisdiction over the wreck of the Whydah, which sank in a storm off Wellfleet in 1717. The court found in favor of Barry Clifford, 42, of Eastham, Mass.
