UCLA, which hadn’t been ranked by the Associated Press college basketball poll since the 1986-87 season, is rated No. 20th in the latest AP poll.
The Bruins (4-0) were unranked last season, but they were ranked as high as 11th 2 seasons ago.
Duke, Michigan and Syracuse remained the top three teams in the poll. Duke (6-0) received 49 first- place votes and 1,283 points compared with 9 first-place votes and 1,237 points for Michigan (8-0).
