UC Irvine to Play Eastern Washington

Coach Bill Mulligan of UC Irvine has decided to return to the run-and-press game that the Anteaters practiced for 6 weeks before the basketball season. And Irvine (1-4) should be able to make it work tonight when the Anteaters play host to Eastern Washington (2-3) in the Bren Center at 7:30.

The Eagles, 6-21 last season, have beaten only Whitworth and Whitman colleges this season. They lost an exhibition game to Brewster Packing.

Mulligan has also decided to play just nine players and he has flip-flopped his starting guards. Rod Palmer will be the off guard and Kevin Floyd the point guard.
