GENEVA —
Police stormed the Iranian Consulate in Geneva on Wednesday, ending a protest occupation by opponents of the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini over alleged mass executions in Iran.
Police arrested five masked members of the leftist People’s Fedayeen guerrillas who held consulate staff members hostage for more than four hours.
The protest was one of several in Europe called by the People’s Fedayeen following reports that Tehran has executed more than 12,000 political prisoners since August under secret guidelines issued by Khomeini.
