* Emerald Systems Corp. reported it has completed a $5.75-million venture capital funding round that was led by Solomon Brothers Venture Capital. Other investors included Venture Capital Unit of Aetna, Minneapolis-based Pathfinder Venture Capital and New England Capital, a subsidiary of the Bank of New England.

Emerald, founded in 1984, manufactures devices that large computers use to store and manage large bits of information.
