* William J. Voute, a vice chairman of Salomon Bros. and a director of Salomon Inc., and William N. Wight, a managing director of Salomon Bros., have resigned. They will leave Salomon Bros. in 1989 at a time mutually beneficial to them and to the firm. Voute was in charge of bond trading, syndicate and mortgage businesses worldwide. Wight was head of the corporate, high yield, and preferred stock trading areas. He also was head of the asset liability management and international trading departments in New York. Voute said he would pursue “new opportunities” and devote more time to charity.
