Angels’ Mike Port Draws Harsh Criticism

So the Angels will “Add to Port’s Role” (Dec. 14). Fine. Just put him where he can’t do any more damage.

Who, given a choice, would pick a boss who treats people the way Mike Port has treated Doug DeCinces, Bill Buckner, Bob Boone, Wally Joyner, et al? Players talk, and I have to believe the word is out.

Move Port up and out as general manager. And please spare us “The Little General” (Gene Mauch). Bring in Mr. Spock. At least he’s half human.
