Trident Missile Launched
KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — A Trident 2 submarine missile carrying a load of dummy warheads was launched from a ground pad Friday in the 17th test of the Navy’s most powerful nuclear weapon system. The Navy reported after the launch that the test of the three-stage, $23.7-million missile was a success.
