The newly elected president of the Southern California Chapter of WCOE, a national trade association for women owners or executives of construction firms, is Patty Jacobs. She is owner of the South Pasadena-based company PFJ Construction.

George Hedley, president of Hedley Builders Inc. of Newport Beach, was chosen Construction “Entrepreneur of the Year.” He has been inducted into the Institute of American Entrepreneurs at its second annual conference held in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Trizec Properties Inc., headquartered in Calgary, Canada, has appointed Craig J. Cahow development vice president, Western region. He will be responsible for the firm’s acquisition and development of major office properties in California, emphasizing the Los Angeles area.
