So many movies have background music so...

So many movies have background music so loud that we miss most of the dialogue. Some programs (“Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” for one) has the star shouting to be heard above the music. We turn to other programs which are pleasing to the ear. Can’t something be done to quiet down this background music?
