A 40-year-old Southeast San Diego man was in critical condition at UC San Diego Medical Center Sunday after being shot, San Diego police said.
Humberto Hernandez was shot once in the neck and three times in the chest, police said. There was no known motive for the shooting.
A friend discovered the wounded Hernandez at his Pardee Place home at 1 a.m., police said.
